Frequently Asked
Questions
Workforce Capability Intelligence is the use of connected workforce evidence to show whether an organisation has the capability, readiness and resilience needed to deliver its strategy now and in the future. It connects signals from skills, competencies, performance, succession, development, feedback and engagement to give leaders a current view of workforce strength, future readiness and organisational risk.
A workforce signal is a meaningful indicator generated through everyday workforce activity – performance ratings, development goal completion, goal alignment, career aspirations, succession risk and future role assignments. Individually, each signal tells part of the story. Connected together, they reveal where organisational capability is strong, where risk is building and whether the workforce is developing at the pace the business requires. The value of workforce signals lies not in any single data point but in reading them together, giving you the lead time to act before problems become visible.
Workforce reporting tells you what has already happened – headcount, completion rates, review scores. Workforce intelligence tells you where the organisation is heading. By connecting workforce signals across performance, development, succession, engagement and career aspiration data, a workforce intelligence platform moves you from retrospective analysis to forward-looking insight. The organisations that act earliest on emerging capability risk and leadership gaps are those that have made the shift from reporting on what has happened to reading the signals about what is coming.
